| Description of the problem | The trunk release feature on my 2010 e-class mercedes-benz key will engage in my pocket without actually pressing the button occasionally. This has happened multiple times (approximately 10 times) in the 4 month period i have owned the vehicle. The most recent occasion resulted in everything in my trunk being stolen in the middle of the night. I suspect it is the flawed/poor design on the key as i have never had this problem with any other trunk release function on any of my other cars. Since the event, i have resorted to the manual lock feature that effectively disables the keyless entry function. |
